CARTEENS

Last modified 2007-04-06 15:04

CARTEENS stands for Caring and Responsible Teens.   The vehicular safety program works with first time teenage traffic offenders to help them improve the decisions they make while behind the wheel of a vehicle so that it is not a weapon instead of transportation.

Presenters from Wyandot County 4-H coordinate the program, introducing speakers from the Sheriff's Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol, a local EMT, Juvenile Court, accident victims, and videos.  They also help present hands on portions of the program.

Individuals or teens interested in becoming a speaker or presenter may contact Laura Wood at OSU Extension.
